Dinner Bells

Dinner bells date back to the 18th century. They were originally used to summon people as a reminder of mealtimes, and when food was ready, the bells would ring to entice people to the table. This tradition still exists in some homes. Some restaurants and hotels still use dinner bells to add a nostalgic atmosphere or to attract visitors.
